When we are not Working.

Alhamdulillah. Thanks to Allah that I still survive despite of hectic weeks. Seeing patient till feel like vomiting out blood. Up until I ask one patient who requested for MC just for simple viral flu.

Can I have a MC too? I think that I’m more sicker than you but still I have to work.

Even though working in ED is a shift based system. But your brain can not stop functioning and you have to shift the way you think every time you see different cases. Pediatric patient requires different approach as well as medical, obstetric, surgical and outpatient.

I gave up two intra locum slot this week. It means you burnt your pocket money as we do not have on call claim. But at the end of the day, you will realize that money is not everything and you need your own space rather than spending all your day in hospital.

Yeah! I gave up my locum slot. But thanks to that that I have a great rest.

Crazy fact! And it was a doctors and pharmacist day out. And definitely for GUYS only. Straightly no woman!

We went for karaoke from 9 pm till 3 am in the morning. From a less sweet voice till it changes like a donkey’s sound. Then going back home. Waiting for Subuh prayer before went for a short nap.

Waking up a little bit late at 10 am, we went to waterfall for barbecue and swimming. It was a memorable weekend. Even though not going to a fancy place or leaving on  a jet plane, but being together with your other friend in the same profession but outside the hospital was totally fun.

Reality of "Forgive and Forget"

Beautiful sunrise. maybe not a good picture for a gloomy writing

There will  be time in your life,
That you no longer able to convince yourself,
Something that you hold tight,
A wisdom that say,
“Forgive and Forget”

To forgive all the betrayal,
To forget how painful it is,
And live the life like the day before the ‘day’,
Pretending that everything is fine.

Then you realize that the wound is deeper,
It macerated your heart,
And the healing process is not as you expected,
And you realize that you just cannot,
Can’t just forget it.

You try to council, comfort and care,
The person that cause you to bleed,
And the moment that person got the pain,
You just wanted to shout straight to the face,
“You deserve it”

For all the suffering that you have to bear,
The cries that accompany your night,
The torturing that eat your sanity,
The guilt of not being the best.

You want them to feel,
Exactly as you gone through,
But you just can’t say it,
You can’t pronounce it,
“It is the same thing that you did to me,”
“And you deserve it well.
